Shout out:
This week there is a shout-out for…
The Quad RAs! (from Marcus)
It’s been an amazing semester and most of the good things that have happened are because of them. I love working with you all and am excited to see what you’ll do in the spring semester for the Quad!
If you’d like to submit your own shoutout, click on the shout-out link and yours will be featured on a future episode of the QuadCast!
Things you need to know:
- RA Applications for 2025-2026 are live! But the deadline is December 16th! So don’t miss out on the 2025-2026 RA Application. Apply today!
- POLICY REMINDER: This week and next week are 20-hour quiet hours. So there shouldn’t be any music, vacuuming, big game nights, loud movies, etc. except for between 4-8pm each day.
- For more info on Housing policies check out the Housing Handbook online.
Upcoming stuff:
- Finals week is next week!
- There is nothing you need to do to “check out” for Winter Break. But you should communicate with your roommate and make sure everything is clean and tidy in your room before you leave. No trash or food left behind!
- The residence halls will remain open. As long as you have your ID and room key, you can come and go as you please all break long.
- Classes resume on January 13th.
QuadCast Challenge:
- Last week's challenge: Send me an email of something you are thankful for. And here are all of the responses!
- Reagan Mordecai - I am thankful for my roommate Olivia, my friends that I’ve made here at UCO, the best RA ever Hannah. And I am thankful for Dr. Dement.
- Jada McGee - I am really thankful for everyone who has created things. So many books that I read lead me to where I am, and so many artists have created art that inspired me in so many ways. I don't know who or where I would be if it wasn't for all forms of art that exist around us.
- Eva Merling - I am thankful for my wonderful mom, and my friends and framily, who love and support me unconditionally. They mean the world to me, and I don't know what I would do without them in my life. And also I can't forget my 3 dogs Riley, Greenbean and lelo 💓 These are my dogs, to the left is greenbean, right is riley, and the center is lelo 🥰 (Pictures attached)
- Nick Borghini - I'm thankful for my coworkers! AKA, the other Quad RA's, they're the best!
- Chase Johnson - With the loss of a friend recently, I’m thankful for the opportunities I’ve been given in life of all natures. Academic, friendships, hobbies, family, they’re all so important to giving my life meaning and are what fuel me to keep going. Because I know that in addition to enriching my life with my own needs, I can be the person for others that rises above the inconvenience of unreasonable hospitality in order to make an impact on someone else’s life. And maybe, just maybe, I can inspire someone else to do the same. I’m also thankful for furballs like copper even if she does have one of the biggest attitudes I’ve ever seen.
- Savanna Zimmer - I am thankful for my professors. They've been so understanding and helpful as we approach finals! More importantly, I am thankful for my dog. I am excited to spend time with him over break. I will attach pictures below. His name is Link, and he is a good boy. His hobbies include paddle boarding and lying in piles of warm laundry. (Pictures attached)
- This week’s challenge is:
- Have a great winter break!!! And come back refreshed.
That’s all for this episode of the QuadCast.
