UCO Faculty:
At the
request of the Provost, please consider STLR-tagging and including this NCUR
Reflection Assignment in your spring courses (and syllabi). This assignment is
already built for you with well-developed reflection prompts encouraging
students to respond with rich internalization rather than merely describing the
NCUR session(s) they attend. Using Transformative Learning, Critical
Reflection, and Embodied Knowledge best practices, the STLR Office has worked
to make this as quick and efficient as possible for busy faculty. View the
video below from Provost Barthell and your faculty colleague Dr. Kato Buss — it
outlines what you’ll do to participate as UCO becomes the first-ever host
institution to provide both quantitative and qualitative data to NCUR*. If you
haven’t been STLR-trained yet — there’s still time to do so. See the links
below to sign up via the Learning Center for an early Spring session prior to
NCUR. There are one-time stipends for completing STLR-Training and implementing
STLR.
